Plant A Seed and CEA Group Blanket/Toy Drive

Get ready to spread warmth and joy this holiday season! Plant A Seed, in collaboration with CEA Group, invites you to be a part of our Blanket/Toy Drive. This heartwarming initiative aims to provide comfort and joy to children and mothers facing challenging circumstances. All donated items will go to La Posada Home, ensuring that families in crisis situations experience the magic of the holiday season. La Posada Home helps families heal physically, mentally, and emotionally from domestic violence and homelessness. La Posada Home has transformed the lives of families affected by domestic violence since 1986.

How You Can Contribute:

  1. Donate New Blankets: Cozy blankets provide comfort during chilly nights. Please consider contributing new, warm blankets to help those in need stay snug.
  1. Gift New Toys: Bring smiles to little faces by donating new, unwrapped toys. Your generosity will make a significant difference in brightening the holidays for children.
  1. Warm Winter Clothing: Children also need jackets, gloves, scarves, and beanies to stay warm during the cold season. Your donations will provide essential warmth during the winter months.
  1. Essential Supplies for Mothers: Mothers could benefit from gift cards for groceries, diapers, and their own hygiene products. Your support will provide crucial assistance during these challenging times.

Plant A Seed is rallying the community for an event that truly matters. On May 11, 2024, we’re hosting a powerful 5K/Walk Against Human Trafficking, and we need you to be a part of this essential movement.

Event Highlights:

Make Every Step Count: Lace up your shoes and take strides toward a world free from human trafficking. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or somewhere in between, your steps matter in the fight against exploitation.

Raise Awareness: Human trafficking is a grave issue that affects countless lives. By participating, you’re not just walking; you’re shining a light on this dark reality. Awareness is the first step toward change.

Unite for Change: Join a compassionate community of individuals who share your commitment to ending trafficking. Together, we’re a force to be reckoned with, and together, we can make a lasting impact.

Supporting the Paso del Norte Center of Hope:

When you take part in this event, you’re not just walking or running; you’re extending a lifeline to survivors of human trafficking. A significant percentage of the proceeds will be devoted to the Paso del Norte Center of Hope, a beacon of hope for those who have endured unimaginable suffering. Your participation becomes a direct channel of support, breathing life into their mission of healing, empowerment, and renewal. Join us in making each step not just a stride forward but a giant leap towards brighter futures for survivors.

Sponsorship and Donor Opportunities:

We invite local businesses and individuals to join us as sponsors and donors for this critical cause. Your support will not only help cover event costs but also significantly contribute to our efforts against exploitation. For sponsorship and donation inquiries, please contact Wendy Gamillo at [email protected].

Join Us:

Mark your calendar for May 11, 2024, and join us in taking a stand against exploitation. Together, we can create a safer, more compassionate world. It’s time to step up, speak out, and make a difference. See you at the Plant A Seed 5K/Walk Against Human Trafficking!
